Who is Alba Pazmino?Meet Alba, she is a creative professional with over 15 years of experience specializing in visual design, course development, and communications. She began her career supporting training and professional development teams as a contractor in marketing and visual graphics, later moving into course development and instructional design. She has worked across various training environments, launched her own LLC, and earned a Master’s in Adult Education & Training. She currently volunteers as the VP of Communications for ATD South Florida, where she leads chapter messaging across email and social media. She also collaborates with the website director to ensure clear and consistent communication across all digital platforms. She creates visual marketing materials for the chapter and works with board members to design assets that support their learning and professional development programs. Q: Tell us about a work project that you’re absolutely crushing and are super proud of right now! Who is supporting you on the project with whom you want to share the spotlight? Alba: Right now, I’m really proud of the creative learning projects I’m working on, especially the ones where I get to blend AI, visual design, and clear communication. It feels amazing to stretch myself and see ideas come to life in new ways. I’m so grateful for the ATD South Florida Board Members and Directors who support and inspire me, and for the ATD members I get to interact with their energy and engagement keep me motivated. I also have to shine a special light on Sherri Dailing, our VP of Special Programs. She is a true friend and mentor, and the one who encouraged me to pursue my master’s degree and join ATD South Florida.

Q: Why should others get involved with ATD South Florida? What have you gained by being a part of the organization?
Alba: Others should get involved for the incredible networking, the personal growth, and the development of new ideas. Being part of ATD South Florida keeps me connected to the pulse of the industry and surrounded by people who genuinely inspire me. I’ve gained community, confidence, and a space where my creativity and ideas can truly come alive.

Alba: AI Copilot, ChatGPT, Playground, CANVA, & Adobe.

Q: When you’re not transforming lives, what do you love doing for fun that brings you joy?Alba: I love taking long drives with my family and our dog, unwinding by the beach, and cuddling up with my cats. Meditation in my room keeps me grounded, and pool therapy at the gym helps me reset and recharge. I also enjoy attending worship service at my church, where I find a sense of community and a moment to pause and reflect. Music is a big part of my life too. I love going to concerts, plays, and operas whenever I can. But truly, the moments I treasure most are the simple ones, spending time with family and friends and just enjoying each other’s company.

Q: What sparks your creativity and gets your energy flowing? Who or what inspires you to reach new heights
Alba: I’m inspired by nature, animals, and people, and sometimes just noticing the smallest details is enough to imagine new ideas. Creativity shows up for me in many forms: sketching, painting, drawing, photography, baking, and cooking. I’ve loved cooking since I was young; my first cookbook was an old Betty Crocker passed down from my mom when I was 12, and ever since, I’ve collected cookbooks from all cuisines and cultures. I read them the way some people read novels, exploring flavors, breaking them down with my palate, and recreating dishes with my own twist. No matter the medium, each creative outlet gives me space to explore, express myself, and stay connected to what inspires me. Q: Which technology platform do you absolutely love using to
