In Her Own Words
Q
Tell us about a work project that you’re absolutely crushing and are super proud of right now! Who is supporting you on the project with whom you want to share the spotlight?
A
I learned how to create a virtual escape room using Google Slides, Forms, and Microsoft Sway, and I am so proud of how it turned out! A big thank-you to Rachel Horowitz, my ATDSFL mentor, who gave me fantastic feedback and encouragement along the way.
Q
Why should others get involved with ATD South Florida? What have you gained by being a part of the organization?
A
This is such a supportive and welcoming community. I joined the board after completing the Carol S. Devaney Mentoring Program, and I was truly inspired by how many people in ATDSFL are committed to helping each other learn and grow. It’s a place where you feel like you belong.
Q
What's your all-time favorite learning tool or strategy that never fails to engage?
A
Gallery walks are my go-to for encouraging peer feedback and reflection.
Q
What sparks your creativity and gets your energy flowing? Who or what inspires you to reach new heights?
A
Seeing my students thrive in the field is what energizes me the most. Watching them grow into confident, passionate future educators and leaders is my biggest source of inspiration.
Q
When you’re not transforming lives, what do you love doing for fun that brings you joy?
A
I’ve started learning lampworking to create beautiful glass ornaments; it’s such a rewarding and artistic outlet.
Q
Which technology platform do you absolutely love using to level up your work?
A
I use Microsoft 365 and Google Suite often for seamless collaboration and shared tasks.
