Who is Nicole?Nicole Cook serves as the 2nd Director of Operations for ATD South Florida, where she supports the chapter by posting events and distributing post-event materials like surveys and digital badges. Professionally, Nicole is dedicated to shaping the next generation of educators as a college instructor of future teachers. She moved to South Florida eight years ago for her teaching role and joined ATDSFL two years ago. Since then, she’s been making a meaningful impact on both her students and the ATD community.Q: Tell us about a work project that you’re absolutely crushing and are super proud of right now! Who is supporting you on the project with whom you want to share the spotlight? Nicole: I learned how to create a virtual escape room using Google Slides, Forms, and Microsoft Sway, and I am so proud of how it turned out! A big thank-you to Rachel Horowitz, my ATDSFL mentor, who gave me fantastic feedback and encouragement along the way. |
Q: Why should others get involved with ATD South Florida? What have you gained by being a part of the organization?
Nicole: This is such a supportive and welcoming community. I joined the board after completing the Carol S. Devaney Mentoring Program, and I was truly inspired by how many people in ATDSFL are committed to helping each other learn and grow. It’s a place where you feel like you belong.
Q: What's your all-time favorite learning tool or strategy that never fails to engage?
Nicole: Gallery walks are my go-to for encouraging peer feedback and reflection. |
Q: What sparks your creativity and gets your energy flowing? Who or what inspires you to reach new heights
Nicole: Seeing my students thrive in the field is what energizes me the most. Watching them grow into confident, passionate future educators and leaders is my biggest source of inspiration. | Q: Which technology platform do you absolutely love using to
