The Mentorship Program provides opportunities for all South Florida ASTD members, including rookies, veterans, and professionals in transition to:

  • Create empowering learning experiences for professional growth
  • Network with other professionals while fine tuning personal and professional skills
  • Overcome obstacles that may stand in the way of career success
  • Recognize your potential as a contributing force within the South Florida learning community

 

 

 

The Protege  

Protégés can be individuals new to the Learning and Development industry, or experiences professionals looking to change their career path and learn new skills.  To become a protégé, you should be . . .

  • A member of the South Florida ASTD chapter
  • Prepared to set and actively work toward achieving goals
  • Willing to get involved in the chapter by serving on a committee or assisting at an event.

 

 

The Mentor 

Mentors are individuals looking for opportunities to give back to the Learning and Development community of South Florida, while sharpening their own skills as they teach other learning professionals.  To be a mentor, you should be . . .

  • A member of the South Florida ASTD chapter
  • Able to spend a minimum of one to two hours per month with the protégé to work toward achieving professional goals

 

Program Timeline

  • Friday, May 23 - Registration Deadline
  • Saturday, May 31 - The Pairing Event
  • Saturday, August 23 - Professional Development
  • TBD - Graduation Event
