What if your next L&D role isn't about finding another job—but getting clearer about the career you actually want?
Whether you're actively job searching, considering a career change, trying to break into L&D, ready for your next promotion, or simply wondering “What’s next for me?”, this ATDCFL book study is designed to get you thinking—and doing.
Join fellow talent development professionals as we explore the first eight chapters of Sarah Cannistra's Land Your Next L&D Role: Creating a Career That Works for You. Cannistra challenges the idea that there is one “right” formula for career success. Instead, she introduces the ABCDs of L&D Career Success: Alignment, Branding, Community, and Development—a framework for intentionally building a career around your strengths, interests, values, goals, and the impact you want to make.
You don't have to be job hunting to join us.
Bring your book, your questions, your experiences—and maybe even that career decision you've been thinking about.
Let's Read. Reflect. Reimagine. And get clearer about what comes next.

Sarah also hosts The L&D Career Club Podcast, where she shares additional strategies and conversations about breaking into, navigating, and growing a career in Learning & Development. About Sarah Cannistra
Sarah Cannistra is an L&D leader, career coach, author, and host of The L&D Career Club Podcast. Over the course of her career, she has worked across the L&D profession in roles including trainer, instructional designer, director of training, and head of learning.
Her own path into L&D wasn't traditional—she began her career in sales before discovering that coaching, training, and helping others grow was where she wanted to focus her career. Since then, Sarah has built and led learning and leadership programs, hired L&D professionals, and helped more than 1,000 people navigate careers in the field.
Her philosophy behind Land Your Next L&D Role is especially fitting for an ATDCFL book study: L&D professionals spend their careers helping other people learn, grow, and develop. It's time to apply some of those same principles to our own careers.
