ATD Inclusion Design Sprint

Ready for something completely different? How about designing new solutions for organizational equity?

In this Next Steps for Equity design thinking session, you will learn to design and implement new and innovative ideas when it comes to equity, antiracism, bias, and inclusion in your organization.

In this highly interactive session, you will discover the challenges that exist for diverse professionals and mine your own experiences better to recognize systemic barriers to real inclusion and success. You'll also brainstorm the unique challenges facing diverse professionals in your own organization. You'll experience the Five Whys exercise and discover how to find root causes of the most pressing DEI challenges. Finally, you'll apply the Five Whys framework to one of your challenges and design a solution for the root cause that meets the speaker's Four Pillars DEI strategy.

In the end, you'll develop a habit-forming initiative that will encourage stakeholders to adopt the solution to improve DEI in your organization!

Learning Objectives

1. Build awareness of DEI challenges that face employees and stakeholders

2. Adopt a new framework for addressing DEI challenges
