Training Evaluation: Measuring What Matters Most

Assessment, measurement, evaluation – these are essential tools for every trainer. Do you know when to assess? What to measure? How to use evaluations to improve both program quality and performance outcomes? Are you using learning analytics to improve performance and to demonstrate to upper management that you are getting the right results? Can you prove that your training works?

Join us for a workshop that is designed to broaden your view of what you measure and how you set the standards for proving the contribution your training makes to the success of your organization. Getting results is what matters most. While Kirkpatrick’s levels one and two are important, today’s C-suite expects far more than a happiness index and quiz results. The data you collect, how you collect it, and how you use it to demonstrate the relevance of your programming to decision makers all depend on the outcomes you are expected to deliver.

Please bring examples of the evaluation or assessment forms or tools you currently use and examples you would like to share about how you present your outcome data. We will learn from each other and our facilitator how to strategically measure, assess and evaluate learners and learning and how to deliver the results with impact.

Presenter: Karen K. Wollard, Ed. D., CHD 

Dr. Wollard has been teaching and learning about talent and leadership development for more than three decades. Her doctorate in Adult Education & Human Resource Development from Florida International University was earned while working full time as a trainer, training manager, instructional designer, program manager, faculty member, educator, and researcher. She has taught assessment, measurement and evaluation to teachers, university faculty, organizations and trainers.

Karen creates and delivers instructional programs in sales, customer service, hotel operations, security, leadership and revenue management. She also consults on talent and leadership development for the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International Foundation Board of Directors. In this capacity, Karen recently convened the first-ever Chief Human Resource Officer Executive Roundtable focused on issues surrounding attracting and developing talent in sales, marketing and revenue optimization. Dr. Wollard has also written and researched extensively in the areas of employee engagement and customer service.

The  event will be held at Weatherby Healthcare, 11th floor - Learning Center A & B,  Bayview Corporate Tower, 6451 N Federal Hwy #800, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33308. 

*Free parking is available in the parking lot in front of the building and parking is available in the Parking Garage Levels 2-5.

**Note: Upon arrival, please be sure to go to the 11th floor of the building. You will be directed to Learning Center A. As a visitor of the building, an ATD or WBY representative will give you access to the event.
