Closing the Generational Divide: Millennials,   Gen X, and Boomers

It’s tough managing a culture that has employees of all ages. Think about your organization, or your client’s, and ask yourself: • Are there issues hiring and retaining talent? • Is there a huge disconnect between what employees expect and what the organization asks of them? • Is employee engagement or motivation a challenge? • Is there conflict in the workplace between people of different generations?

In some ways, the interactions and communications among Boomers, Gen X, Millennials, and Gen Z in the workplace has devolved into an “us” vs. “them” mentality. And instead of getting better, it’s only getting worse. If these issues aren’t addressed, teams and organizations will never achieve their goals and employees will feel frustrated and held back, and some of the best people will leave. As Peter Drucker wrote, “Culture eats Strategy for breakfast.”

Janet will be giving away four copies of her book, "OK, Boomer!" at the end of the presentation.

Janet Granger is a speaker, author, and business strategist. (2016) and Ok Boomer! Revelations of a Baby Boomer Working with Millennials (2020). Janet’s talks are engaging, with story-focused approach, including scientific findings and information. She explains why current approaches to the issue of generational conflict in the workplace haven’t worked, and her own approaches that generate real results.
