   Gamification: Application & Implementation Strategies

Gamification in Talent Development has been a hot topic in recent years. Industry leaders and practitioners promote the perceived benefits of increased engagement, collaboration, and entertainment, while others criticize the lack of proper motivation and pedagogical approach in the midst of growing market hype.

In this session, we will compare/contrast gamification, game-based learning and serious games – the three most common approaches to adding game mechanics/dynamics to enterprise learning. We will review strategies for application of gamification within your already existing learning strategies and Instructor-Led Trainings (ILT) and/or e-learning programs. We will discuss how to align with ROI expectations and measurement as well as strategies on overcoming internal resistance for implementation.

Do not miss this opportunity to:

  • Understand how gamification  can be incorporated into your organization’s talent development efforts regardless of industry or budget.
  • Learn how to transition gamification from computer-based training to instructor-led scenarios for a continuous learning experience.
  • Learn strategies on gaining buy in and overcoming internal resistance to gamification through demonstrable and measurable ROI.
  • Explore real world scenarios and applications to better appreciate what can work and what may not work with gamification in learning.
This session will be interactive! Attendees will be given access to a customized game before and during the session!

Gamification—the use of game thinking and game mechanics attached to work—is infiltrating workplace practices and cannot be dismissed as superfluous.

Gartner predicts that by 2015 the online gaming industry will be worth $112 billion globally and that within this year more than 70 percent of global organizations will have at least one gamified application.

Dinner for this event will be hors-d'oeuvre style with variety of delicious cold and hot finger food prepared specially for this event!
