Training Analytics: Taking ROI to the Next Level
As Training and Development and Human Resource Development professionals, we have access to a wealth of workforce-related information via learning management systems, performance management systems and other company data sources that can help us link what we do to broader business strategies. Mining this data can lead to a wealth of “workforce intelligence” that can predict workforce and workplace trends that will help us adopt strategies to improve not only individual performance but overall organizational performance.

This program will explore the possibilities of applying “predictive analytics” to the practice of training and development in order to equip you and your organization’s leadership with a new dimension of decision-making capabilities. We will review practices, processes, tools and metrics the HRD and training professionals must incorporate into their day to day and strategic roles to influence over-arching organizational goals and ultimately contribute to bottom-line results. We will also explore demographic shifts in the external environment that will impact human capital requirements and the type of metrics that HRD practitioners and trainers will be expected to produce in order to maintain relevance influence.

At the end of this session, you will learn:
  • Identify at least three key organizational goals that are central to the success of the participants’ organizations and the link to the outcomes that they produce through their role in HRD
  • Create meaningful metrics around critical HRD outcomes that directly relate to key organizational goals

  • Ask meaningful questions of leadership to identify areas of strategic HRD, including organizational training, focus

  • Anticipate future organizational needs and their HRD impact based on current and future demographic influencers
