As Talent Development practitioners, we are familiar with the benefits of coaching. Fact is, the benefits of coaching can be as varied as the individuals who are being coached!
The many benefits of coaching include improving work performance and behaviors, increasing self-awareness and confidence, and improving communication skills. Additionally, we can improve relationships with our colleagues and employees, achieve our goals, and experience greater job and life satisfaction.
This session will explore what coaching is and the skills necessary to coach. We will delve into the process of coaching, as well as typical coaching challenges.
More importantly, we will explain how you can include coaching in your current T&D strategies. Join us for an interactive session that will answer the question, “Why coaching”?

Our Presenter: Gary Sapir
Gary Sapir is an Executive Coach, President of Integrated Performance Resources, Inc., and a past President of our South Florida ATD chapter. Gary is a recognized leader in the talent development field with over 35 years of corporate and consulting experience.
Gary has coached hundreds of executives in organizations of all sizes and specializes in assisting high-value executives with leadership deficits that are impeding their ability to adequately meet performance expectations and standards. His coaching strategies and tools assist him in building trust and providing necessary feedback to quickly engage clients in the process of self-improvement and behavioral change.
Gary is an accredited Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) through the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI) and holds the Senior Certified Professional certification (SHRM-SCP) from the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). He is also a Wiley certified associate for the PXT Select suite of employee assessments. He delivers HRCI certification course modules at Florida Atlantic University and is a featured speaker at the Competitive Edge Series to assist HR professionals in job transition. Gary holds a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Long Island University and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the State University of New York.
This event has been pre-approved by the ATD Certification Institute for continuing education credits towards professional development hours for initial eligibility and recertification of the Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD) and Associate Professional in Talent Development (APTD) credentials for a maximum of one (1) credit point for one (1) hour of instruction points.
