When HPI, Not Training, Is the Answer

As practitioners, we know training is not always the answer, but we are often faced with requests for that magical training that will “fix” organizational and individual performance.  HPI Consultant, Vivian Bringslimark  will share insights into HPI theory vs. practice and true tales from a HPI projects.   This session will provide an overview of the 3 principles of Human Performance Improvement and the basic HPI Business Phases before helping participants learn to flip the switch from training to HPI initiatives.

What questions can we ask so that we uncover deeper organizational needs beyond a training request? How can we transform a training request into HPI project and align it with business needs? What are the strategies to successfully leading and managing HPI projects?  Join us, August 8th to learn the answers to these questions and more!

After this session learners will be able to:

    ·        Practice asking 2 types of needs questions to uncover whether “training is the answer”.

    ·       Explore performance alignment of training requests to meet business need.

    ·        Conduct a stakeholder analysis to confirm expectations and build a communication plan for your project.

    ·        Explore measures of success and leading indicators for reporting effectiveness results.
